URFAD: The Fighter

Since the house thief I posted earlier references the dual wield ability in my house fighter, figured I should go ahead and post that as well. Note that all classes are capped at level 10. I should also acknowledge that “duelist” for fifth level and “weaponmaster,” although I have moved it to sixth level (rather than third), are from James Maliszewski.

Armor: All. • Weapons: All, except sling.
  1. Fighters gain a bonus hit point at levels 1,4, 7, and 10.
  2. Fighters with Strength 13+ and Dexterity 13+ may dual wield, using a dagger, hand axe, or sword as the second weapon. In a combat round the PC must declare if the second weapon will act as a shield (improving armor class by 1) or to attack and, pending a successful hit, gain an advantage in dealing damage (roll two dice, keep the higher). If undeclared, default to treating as shield.
  3. Fourth-level and higher fighters may attack a number of 1 or 2 HD monsters equal to their level, to a maximum of eight 1 HD and four 2 HD.
